Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector Routing

-For real world and simulation

This is the homepage of the AODV routing protocol implementation created at Uppsala University.

Implementation Features:

  • Runs on Linux 2.4 and 2.6 kernels and in the ns-2 simulator.
  • Crosscompiling for ARM/Mips based devices like the iPAQ, Zaurus and WRT54G router is supported.
  • RFC3561 compliant
  • Implemented as a user-space daemon with kernel component.
  • Optional feature such as unidirectional link detection and avoidance (not specified in draft).
  • (Multiple) Gateway support through tunneling.

NEWS!

  • 2007-12-08: AODV-UU is not hosted at Sourceforge.
  • 2007-07-23. AODV-UU 0.9.5 released.
  • A new AODV-UU IPv6 implementation by Martin Dietze is available.
  • A port of AODV-UU to IPv6 is now available. This is the result of Peter Lee's work at Simon Fraser University.
  • AODV-UU multicast support has been implemented by a group of researchers at the University of Maryland. The code is provided as a patch against AODV-UU version 0.6. See below for download links.
